Currently, I am researching a book about the Canadian Arctic which will take you from the ‘prehistoric’ Paleo-eskimos to the present day Inuit experience through a web of oral histories, myths, and cultural traditions. I’ll add to this space as I shape the novel…stay tuned!
From my current art project of 70 portraits during my seventieth year (see the Journal and Facing 70 in the Art section for more information), here’s a painting I did of an imaginary Inuit man—it might end up being on the cover of the new book, which has the working title of On The Edge.
