A story of the Blackfoot on Alberta’s wide plains
Will Finch-Hatton, a (fictional) English second son, comes to Canada in the late 1800s as an itinerant photographer, traveling its breadth to capture scenes of an emerging country. When he meets Silent Running Wolf and her Blackfoot family, he is drawn into their fight to retain their traditional way of life as colonialism encroaches and treaties are forced upon them.
