Upcoming Art Crawl and Studio Lessons

I am very excited to be taking part in the upcoming Sunshine Coast Art Crawl on Oct 17 through 19. This is the biggest crawl yet, with 141 locations from Langdale all the way to Lund. For the first time this year, the event is over three days, Friday (10-5 plus selected locations, including mine, open from 7-9 pm as well), then Saturday and Sunday 10-5. Attendees can gather passport stamps good for lots of great free stuff while enjoying viewing (and I hope, buying) wonderful original art in every medium you can imagine. I'm busy getting my studio ready to showcase all the work I've been doing over the past year, and have, for the first time, also printed up some fine art cards in the images shown below. They'll be available during the crawl, as will a draw to win 20% off any painting purchases from me in 2015 (a winner each day of the crawl). Hope to see you on the crawl!

Last weekend saw the first cohort of students learning in my new studio. All three, even though they are painting novices, turned out spectacularly beautiful cloud paintings--wow!! Small group lessons on selected topics will continue throughout the fall. If you are already well-versed in painting basics but want to hone your pastel skills, email me at rodgers.ruth@gmail.com to inquire about joining the lessons. If not, watch for news of another intro weekend in February.
