New location and direction

Greetings, art lovers!  It's been awhile since I posted here, as I've been very busy keeping a blog of our adventure in house building over the past year.  And now it is almost time to make a really big move: as of the first of July, 2013, I will be moving, lock, stock, and studio, to a new location on Canada's west coast.  I am retiring from my college career, and planning to devote myself (almost) full time to painting. Hope you'll look me up in Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia, on the Sunshine Coast.  I'm told that, despite Vancouver's reputation for dampness, the Sunshine Coast's particular geography (sandwiched between Vancouver Island and the Coastal range of mountains) provides one of the sunniest climates in Canada--we shall see!

Our new house includes a beautiful studio plus gallery space, so soon I hope to be welcoming my friends and collectors into this new space. Stay tuned for details and photos. As well, I've been producing paintings in several new media (encaustic, oil, and a combination of pastel and collaged paper) plus experimenting with fibre arts--lots of new directions, but my themes and style are unchanged. It will be interesting to see where we go from here!
