As of November 10th, 2012, the studio at 78 Aino Beach Rd. , Little Britain (use City of Kawartha Lakes if Googling or using your GPS), Ontario K0M 2C0, will be closing. I will still be in the Oshawa area until July 2013 (when I am relocating to Canada's west coast), but will be working out of a temporary location.
To lighten my load for moving, I'm having a studio sale on Saturday November 10th from 2-5 p.m. If you'd like a map, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All remaining works (framed and unframed) will be sold at 50% off for the first purchase, 60% off all subsequent purchases.
Interested but can't attend? View the works in the galleries on this website, and contact me to arrange shipping or delivery. Please note that many of the works in the galleries have now sold--click on images to enlarge, and note if sale price is still listed--if not, the piece is no longer available.
I want to thank the many friends, collectors, students, and fellow artists I have met here in the Lake Scugog area. Although my time in the area has been somewhat brief, it has been rich and inspiring. I have learned a great deal from all of you, and my work is all the better because of my interactions with you. Stay in touch!
Watch for further news of my upcoming exhibition, opening January 12, 2013, at the Whitby Station Gallery. This exhibition is of an all-new collection of pastel and collage figure works, and is an exploration of the impact of the fairytale princess stories on the image of women. Sneak peek at Rapunzel below...bet you never knew that in the original tale, that "charming" prince raped Rapunzel while she was cloistered in her tower!
